Let’s start from March 11th night when I was so excited about my first class. However, it was the second class for all other students, but for me it was first. I wasn’t able to attend the first class because of my brother’s marriage. While I was planning for the morning class I asked Aby (Abhishek Malik, at office we call him Aby) what’s your plan for tomorrow? He wasn’t sure and staring me, he asked “Bhai kaise jayenge, thak jayenge” and I was asking myself will he really go? Somehow I made him understood that we have to pay the second installment of fee and we could serve two of the things tomorrow.
As we both are working in night shifts it wasn’t really easy for us to move out and attend the class in morning. While we were sitting in cab I didn’t ask Aby about class and decided if he will not ask about the class I will not ask either. Actually, I decided parting the idea of moving to class and we both were taking a nap in cab as we both were tired. But ultimately, before leaving the cab he told me that I’ll be at your home at 7:00 AM. It was so relaxing for me as I was really not feeling like driving my car for 1 hour. Within 15 minutes I also reached home and was again thinking, Shall we really go to attend class.
Aby reached my home at 7:00 AM and I was all set to move. WTH… now my roll no. is not there with me and I’m not sure if I really received that from ISTD, I was murmuring after I saw Aby’s roll no.. Firstly, I was already tired and secondly, these hassles were making me more uncomfortable. To cut a long story short……. It was PAIN.
Sitting in car we were struggling with Aby’s stupid GPS system, that was not showing the exact location. But finally it started, Thank God. We were very near to the location, but still we were not able to locate the Vidyapeeth exactly and were surfing round and round, it was another PAIN. Once we located and reached there, parked the car and were finally happy to see the parking lot, which was looking more like a play ground, we were feeling little relaxed.
Finally we entered the class and we were not aware the final pain is yet to come. Ah! Wish I could, but I don’t really know the name of the Person who was addressing the batch, but was looking gentleman. The only thing that I know about him, he is associated with INDIAN OIL CORP.. He was addressing about attitude, before he opened his slides.
It was interesting, but somehow was not real learning, it was more like a debate and somehow everyone was indulging in that and were trying to show that they know better than the speaker. The first time I saw RI was really looking forward for a BREAK.
In break me and Aby both realized that that before we faint down, let’s move out… That’s it and we ran out from there ;)
Poor you..but atleast you managed to attend the session, my bad, I could not attend both of the sessions :(
ReplyDeleteVinita - Don't worry and don't feel disheartened. Next time it will be more fun as now we all know each other :o)
ReplyDeletei was wondering we have to manager anyhow to reach there for few hours.. As it was little exciting and little a same old stuff we already studied in our management classes. isn't that??
ReplyDeleteYeah! I think that was the same old stuff. But I think was good too... I heard couple of words after a long time they were good for vocabulary and brushing memory.
ReplyDeletehey Lalit, you are right, The faculty told us what we already know or what is written in the books and no more applies in the real world...and it was my first class too...but all said and done..I think it is a great platform to meet new people, interact and share thoughts and ideas :)
ReplyDeletereally I wish we could work out some meet in between or something which could put everyone together.. Please guys post ur comments.. share your ideas. It's all for you.
ReplyDeleteHi Lalit,
ReplyDeleteFirst I thanks to you for starting this blog which help all of us to share the HR knowledge.
I have few of suggestions for this blog:
1. Please define the full page display for blog. (Simply change the template.)
2. Provide “Subscribe via email” link for users. So can user will receive all the postings on their email id instantly.
3. Please share all the contact details with every one, those have signed on your note book. This will help to contact each other directly if required.
4. Send a welcome mail to all of batch mates to informing about this group. They will receive all the email ides in one mail and also this will help to start a mail exchange knowledge sharing procedure.
Request you to please do the needful.
Thanks:
